How to Apply DTF to Caps & Hats

Pressing DTF onto a hat requires a hat press or a heat press with a curved platen attachment. Standard 15"×15" flat presses can press dad hats and structured snapback flat fronts but won't conform to curved/structured panels. Recommended setup:

Hat heat press ($150–$400 used) — purpose-built for the curved hat front. Standard hat presses fit 4"–5" wide × 2.5"–3" tall designs.
Settings: 290–310°F, medium pressure, 15 seconds, peel hot.
Position: Place transfer centered on front panel, 1/2"–3/4" above the brim line.
