Accessibility Statement

Accessibility Statement

Effective Date: May 14, 2026

H.A.S. Novelties Ltd. and H.A.S. Marketing Ltd., operating as Button Bros, are committed to ensuring that our website, products, and services are accessible to all people, including persons with disabilities. We strive to provide an inclusive experience for every customer, regardless of ability.

1

Our Commitment

Button Bros is committed to treating all people in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. We believe in integration and equal opportunity, and we are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner.

We are committed to meeting or exceeding the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (Ontario Regulation 191/11), as well as the Canadian Human Rights Act and applicable provincial human rights legislation.

Basically

We want everyone to be able to use our website and services, and we follow Ontario and Canadian accessibility laws to make that happen.

2

Accessibility Standards

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, as referenced by the AODA's Integrated Accessibility Standards. WCAG 2.1 provides guidelines for making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including:

  • Visual impairments (blindness, low vision, colour blindness)
  • Hearing impairments (deafness, hard of hearing)
  • Motor impairments (limited fine motor control, difficulty using a mouse)
  • Cognitive and learning disabilities
Basically

We follow the internationally recognized WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard to make our site usable for people with various disabilities.

3

What We Are Doing

We are continually improving the accessibility of our website and services. Our ongoing efforts include:

  • Providing text alternatives for non-text content (images, icons)
  • Ensuring sufficient colour contrast for readability
  • Making all functionality available from a keyboard
  • Providing clear, consistent navigation
  • Using descriptive link text and page headings
  • Ensuring forms are properly labelled and provide clear error messages
  • Designing responsive layouts that work across devices and screen sizes
  • Testing with assistive technologies including screen readers
  • Training our staff on accessible customer service practices
Basically

We're actively working on making every part of our website easier to use for everyone — from keyboard navigation to screen reader support.

4

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of our website may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations include:

  • Design Tool: Our online design tool involves complex visual interactions that may be difficult to use with screen readers or keyboard-only navigation. We offer alternative ordering methods for customers who cannot use the design tool (see Section 6).
  • Third-Party Content: Some content provided by third-party services (payment processing, embedded maps, social media widgets) may not fully meet accessibility standards. We encourage these providers to improve accessibility and will update integrations as improved versions become available.
  • PDF Documents: Some downloadable documents (invoices, receipts) may not be fully accessible. We can provide information in alternative formats upon request.

We are actively working to address these limitations and welcome your feedback on areas that need improvement.

Basically

Our design tool and some third-party features aren't perfectly accessible yet, but you can always place orders by phone or email instead.

5

Assistive Technology

Our website is designed to be compatible with commonly used assistive technologies, including:

  • Screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver)
  • Screen magnification software
  • Speech recognition software
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • Browser-based accessibility tools and extensions

For the best experience, we recommend using the latest version of your preferred web browser with up-to-date assistive technology software.

6

Alternative Ordering Methods

If you are unable to use our website to place an order, we are happy to assist you through alternative channels:

  • Email: Send your order details to orders@buttonbros.com. Our team will work with you to complete your order and provide a quote.

We will provide any necessary accommodations to ensure you can place your order and receive the same level of service as any other customer.

Basically

Can't use the website? No problem. Call or email us and we'll take care of your order personally.

7

Feedback & Requests

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our website and services. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, have difficulty accessing any content, or have suggestions for improvement, please let us know.

We take accessibility feedback seriously and will respond to your inquiry within 5 business days. If you require information in an alternative format (large print, audio, etc.), we will work with you to provide it in a timely manner.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Ontario Human Rights Commission or file a complaint under the AODA.

Basically
