Most Canadian sticker printers advertise no minimum orders as a feature. For one-off creative projects, that is genuinely useful. But for businesses, branded packaging, and product labels — anywhere you need stickers in real volume — minimum-order wholesale pricing actually saves you money. This guide covers when bulk sticker ordering makes financial sense, how tier pricing actually works in Canada, and which sticker types are made for bulk.
No-Minimum vs Wholesale: Two Different Products
The custom sticker industry serves two different markets. The first is creators — artists, designers, small Etsy sellers — who need 10 to 50 stickers of a single design and want to test new designs cheaply. For this market, no minimum order is essential.
The second market is businesses, packaging companies, product brands, and event organisers who need hundreds or thousands of stickers of a single design. For this market, no-minimum pricing is actually a worse deal because the per-piece cost stays high even at high volumes.
Most printers serve only one market well. We serve both: vinyl stickers ship in bulk with a 250-piece minimum at sharply discounted tier pricing, while paper stickers, kiss-cut, and clear stickers ship with no minimum so creators can order one if they want.
When 250-Piece Wholesale Vinyl Beats No-Minimum Ordering
Vinyl stickers ship in bulk at 250 minimum at Button Bros because that is the volume at which wholesale machinery, materials, and packaging become significantly cheaper per piece. The savings get passed to you directly.
250 to 499 pieces: roughly 40 percent cheaper per sticker than no-minimum competitors.
500 to 999 pieces: roughly 55 percent cheaper.
1000+ pieces: roughly 70 percent cheaper.
For comparison, a no-minimum vinyl sticker order of 50 pieces from a typical Canadian printer runs roughly $1.20 per sticker. Our 250-piece wholesale tier runs about $0.55 per sticker. If you actually need 250 stickers, the wholesale tier saves you $162.50 on a single order. Order 500 and the savings exceed $400.
Which Sticker Types Ship in Bulk
Not every sticker style benefits from bulk production. Here is how to think about it:
Vinyl stickers (square, rectangle, circle-oval, die-cut): 250-piece minimum, deep tier discounts. Best for: business branding, product packaging, water bottle decals, laptop merch, brand stickers in shipping boxes.
Paper stickers (gloss-finish): No minimum, modest tier discounts. Best for: indoor labels, event handouts, packaging seals, short-run promo runs.
Kiss-cut, clear, and holographic vinyl: Currently available with no minimum (launching with wider tier options soon). Best for: premium retail packaging, brand giveaways, art prints.

How to Decide: Buy Wholesale or Order Small
Three simple questions decide whether wholesale or no-minimum is right for your project:
1. How long will you use this design? If the design is a one-off promo for a specific event, no-minimum is right. If the design is your brand logo and you will ship it on every product box for the next year, wholesale is right.
2. What is your per-piece budget? If you need stickers under $0.75 each, you need wholesale. No printer can hit that price without volume.
3. Do you have storage space? A 500-piece sticker order ships in a single small box. A 5000-piece order ships in three boxes. Make sure you can store and inventory the volume you order.
Designing Stickers for Bulk Production
Bulk sticker designs benefit from simpler, bolder graphics for two reasons. First, vinyl stickers on packaging and products are typically viewed at distance — a logo on a shipping box gets seen from across a warehouse, not at reading distance. Bold simple designs read better at distance.
Second, complex multi-colour gradient designs photograph less well in bulk product shots. If you are buying 500 stickers to ship in 500 product boxes, the sticker IS your brand impression. Simple, confident design serves that purpose better than detailed art.
Upload artwork at 300 DPI in CMYK colour mode, with at least 1/8 inch (3mm) bleed beyond the cut line. Vector PDF or AI files produce the cleanest cut paths. For die-cut shapes, include a separate cut path layer in a spot colour named exactly CUT.
Lead Time and Shipping for Bulk Orders
Bulk orders take the same 2 to 3 business days to produce as small orders — there is no production penalty for ordering 1000 stickers versus 50. Shipping across Canada takes 3 to 7 business days standard, with express options available at checkout.
Orders over $300 ship free anywhere in Canada. We also ship to the United States.
