Custom Embroidered Patches

Custom embroidered patches are fabric patches with your design stitched directly into premium twill using polyester thread. They have a classic woven texture and vibrant colours that hold up through years of wear and washing — perfect for uniforms, hats, jackets, bags, and team apparel.

Yes — all of our custom embroidered patches are made in-house at our Canadian production facility. Button Bros has over 50 years of manufacturing experience in Canada.

Embroidery coverage refers to the percentage of your patch that is stitched with thread versus exposed twill backing. 50% coverage is standard for text and simple logos. 75% coverage adds more filled areas. 100% coverage means the entire patch is stitched — no twill visible. Higher coverage gives a more premium, dense look.

You can use up to 8 thread colours per patch at no extra charge. We match your colours as closely as possible using our standard thread colour chart. Pantone matching is available upon request for brand-critical projects.

We offer three backing options: Heat applied (iron-on) — bonds with a heat press or household iron, ideal for most applications. Peel & stick — adhesive backing for temporary placement or displays. Sew-on — no adhesive, designed to be stitched onto fabric for a permanent hold.

Absolutely. Embroidered patches are one of the most popular ways to customize hats and caps. Heat-applied backing works great for structured caps, while sew-on is ideal for unstructured or specialty fabrics. We offer sizes from 2" to 11" to fit any hat style.

Production takes 2–3 business days from proof approval. Add standard shipping (3–7 business days within Canada) and most orders arrive within a week. Express shipping is available at checkout.

Very durable. Embroidered patches are made with polyester thread that resists fading, fraying, and shrinking. Machine wash on a gentle cycle with cold water and tumble dry on low. They're designed to last the lifetime of the garment.
